Bible Based and Christ Centered

Many Christians who find themselves going through difficult times feel trapped in a very lonely place. On the one hand, they feel the need to keep up their "Church face" in spite of what they are going through. On the other, they know that their mood, attitude, motivation or outlook just isn’t what it could be. They see that changes need to be made but don’t know where to start.

The Bible frequently instructs us that we were not intended to go through life’s difficulties on our own. From the very beginning, God stated that "It is not good for man to be alone" Proverbs 15:22 tells us that "Without consultation, plans are frustrated, But with many counselors they succeed."

If you are looking for Bible-based Christian counseling services, I would like to welcome you to Rilliet Counseling Services.

I am fully certified and accredited as a professional counselor and have been working in the counseling profession since 2003. My non-denominational, Bible-based approach provides Christian clients with a counseling experience that integrates prayer, scripture and Christian perspective into every session.

Christian Counseling ...Is it "real counseling?"

This is a question I am often asked. People often tell me that, although their faith in Jesus Christ is very important to them, they are concerned that Christian counseling may not be the same as "real counseling." Rest assured that my education and experience meet the rigorous standards of both the American and the Swiss professional counselors. I hold a master's degree in counseling, am certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors, am accredited as a professional counselor by the Swiss National Association for Counseling. Additionally, I am registered with the canton of Geneva’s department of health as a psychotherapist/counselor (pratiques complémentaires).

The primary difference between Bible-based Christian counseling and traditional counseling is found in the perspective. Christian counseling incorporates prayer, scripture and faith based perspectives while maintaining the same standards, discipline, patient rights and content found in my traditional counseling services.

Insurance Concerns

Since insurance companies differ with respect to coverage, I advise my clients to contact their provider prior to your first visit. If your insurance does cover mental health services, I am happy to assist you in obtaining reimbursement by providing necessary documentation for your claim forms. I can explain this process more fully prior to your first appointment, should you have any questions.

Beliefs, Doctrine and Practices

I attend a local protestant church and still consider my home church to be Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. I am not affiliated with them but I do agree with their doctrinal statement. A copy of which can be found by following the link below.
